Regular Season Round 59: Kanazawa Sam. - Cyberdyne IR 72-74

Fifth-ranked Kanazawa Sam. (25-32) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Cyberdyne IR (36-21) in Ishikawa. The visitors from Tsukuba managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected easier game. Cyberdyne IR players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) helped adding 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Tsukino Tsukino (178-88) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cyberdyne IR have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain second place with 36-21 record behind leader Akita NH. Kanazawa Sam. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with 32 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will play against league's second-placed Fukushima on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kanazawa Sam. will play against the league's leader Fukuoka Rizing and hopes to get back on the winning track.
