Regular Season Round 12: Londrina - UniFacisa 87-62

The most important game in the last round took place in Londrina between third ranked UniFacisa (8-6) and fifth ranked Londrina (8-4) on Thursday night. UniFacisa was crushed by Londrina on the road 87-62. Londrina outrebounded UniFacisa 34-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Luis-Fernando Lima (199-93) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and guard Nathanael Nascimento (188-94) who added 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Londrina players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Rodrigo Reis (208-90, college: Adams St.) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Romulo Vieira (200-92) scored 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Londrina moved-up to fourth place. UniFacisa at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Londrina are looking forward to face higher ranked Macae (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. UniFacisa will play against Blumenau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
