Steaua cruised past BC Timisoara in Game 1. The game was mostly controlled by Steaua CSM. BC Timisoara managed to win second period 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSM looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American swingman Jonte Flowers (196-85, college: Winona St.) fired 26 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners. Lithuanian guard Marius Runkauskas (189-86, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 21 points. Four Steaua CSM players scored in double figures. Cuban-American center Adrian Diaz (213-93, college: FIU) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian guard Mladen Jeremic (198-88, agency: 011 Sports) added 13 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
