Regular Season Round 9: Joondalup W. - Kalamunda E.S. 117-83

Date: May 4, 2018
Very predictable result in Joondalup where first ranked Wanneroo (9-1) outscored 10th ranked Suns (4-8) 117-83 on Friday. Wanneroo forced 23 Suns turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Suns' players. The best player for the winners was American forward Jalen Billups (198-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Christopher Clausen (198-87, college: N.Dakota) chipped in 21 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Five Wanneroo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Logan Viskovich (198) who recorded 16 points and American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wanneroo maintains first place in League with 9-1 record. Loser Suns dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Wanneroo will face Lightning (#9) in North Lake in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suns will play on the road against Flames in Rockingham and hope to win that game.
