Sixteenth-ranked Le Mans (7-22) gave a tough game to fourteenth ranked Le Portel (13-16). Le Portel managed to secure only one-point victory 69-68. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian guard Samir Gbetkom Bikantchou (191-98) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Damien Nseke-Ebele (196-0) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Matthieu Gauzin answered with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and forward Junior Zero (194-97) added 19 points in the effort for Le Mans. Four Le Mans players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Le Portel moved-up to thirteenth place. Le Mans at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 22 games lost. Le Portel's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Antibes (#18) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Le Mans will play against the league's second-placed Strasbourg U21 having rather not much hope for a victory.
