Regular Season Round 31: Fos-Provence - Saint-Chamond 83-77

Everything could happen in Fos-sur-Mer at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Provence Basket and 5th ranked Saint Chamond had identical 20-10 record. This time Provence Basket used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Saint Chamond 83-77. Provence Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Tariq Kirksay (199-79, college: Iona, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners and scored 9 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Sullivan Hernandez (204-95, college: Laramie CC) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Jonathan Hoyaux (195-88) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Saint Chamond in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Provence Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 21-10 record. Saint Chamond at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Provence Basket's next round opponent will be higher ranked Entente Orleans 45 (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saint Chamond will play against STB Le Havre and hope to win that game.
