Regular Season Round 31: FC Barcelona - Andorra 94-70

Everything went according to plan when third ranked FC Barcelona (22-9) outplayed at home 7th ranked Andorra (17-14) 94-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by FC Barcelona. Andorra was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. French Adrien Moerman (202-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian Jaka Blazic (196-90) answered with 13 points and Czech swingman David Jelinek (195-90, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points in the effort for Andorra. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for FC Barcelona. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Baskonia. Loser Andorra keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. FC Barcelona will face CB Canarias (#8) in Tenerife in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Andorra will play at home against Gipuzkoa and hope to win that game.
