There was no surprise when 6th ranked Brasilia (7-8) was defeated on the road by second ranked Sao Jose (12-4) 68-60. The former international Marcio Dornelles (196-75) nailed 17 points for the winning side and the former international point guard Helio-Vitor Lima (185-81) accounted for 17 points. American guard Louis Munks (190-90, college: Prairie View A&M) came up with 18 points and 4 steals and center Daniel Castellar (203-83) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Brasilia in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sao Jose. They maintain second place with 12-4 record behind leader Corinthians. Brasilia lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Sao Jose will have a break next round. Brasilia will play against Cerrado (#9) and hope to win that game.
