Regular Season Round 9: Nunawading S. - Dandenong R. 55-60

Undefeated Spectres (5-1) recorded its first loss in East Burwood. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Rangers (5-3) 60-55. It was a key game for the second position in League. Spectres were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a good game for power forward Tayla Roberts (191-93) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. International guard Tessa Lavey (172-93) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marena Whittle (180-94, college: N.Dakota St.) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Izzy Chilcott (180-90) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Spectres. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rangers maintains second place in League with 5-3 record having just three point less than leader Bendigo LB which they share with defeated Spectres. Spectres at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. Rangers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Spectres will play on the road against Sydney Uni S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
