Regular Season Round 9: Willetton T. - Rockingham CF 56-91

Date: May 5, 2018
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Willetton where sixth ranked Flames (6-2) smashed 5th ranked Tigers (5-2) 91-56 on Saturday. Flames forced 20 Tigers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Dlesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Her fellow American import guard Taneisha Harrison (182-89, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Flames players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Samantha Norwood (188-89, college: Stony Brook) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and Carla Drennan added 4 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flames moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Tigers dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Flames will face Suns (#5) in Kalamunda in the next round. Tigers will play at home against Eagles and hope to win that game.
