Regular Season Round 37: Shimane SM - Yokohama BC 99-74

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Shimane Magic (11-49) outleveled at home 6th ranked Yokohama BC (18-42) 99-74 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Shimane Magic especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up and scored 31 points and 8 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners and American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward William McDonald (206-79, college: Grambling St.) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: Connecticut) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shimane Magic have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Shimane Magic maintains sixth place with 11-49 record which they share with defeated Yokohama BC. Yokohama BC lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 42 games lost.
