Visiting Azuqueca was defeated by Liceo Frances in a tough game in Madrid 94-98. Liceo Frances shot 60.7 percent from the field. Strangely Azuqueca outrebounded Liceo Frances 41-25 including a 20-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Marcos Estebanez stepped up and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Jorge Garzon chipped in 22 points, 6 assists and 5 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Liceo Frances players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Alvaro Frutos (188-87) with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Venezuelan forward Luis Valera (202-88, college: UTRGV) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Azuqueca's coach Sergio Vicente tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Liceo Frances moved-up to fourteenth place in Group B, which they share with Casvi. Azuqueca at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Real Madrid II and Villarrobledo.
