Second Stage Round 8: Saitama Bron. - Tokyo Excel. 82-80

The most exciting game of round 8 in the B League D3 took place in Saitama. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Tokyo Excel. (9-7) to fourth ranked Saitama Broncos (7-9) 82-80 on Saturday evening. American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Senegalese power forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Daniel Bailey (196-90, college: Queens, NC) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Excel.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Saitama Broncos went down to fifth position due to points difference. Tokyo Excel. at the other side dropped to the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Otsuka A.. Saitama Broncos are looking forward to face higher ranked Otsuka A. (#3) in Tokyo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tokyo Excel. will play at home against Kagoshima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
