Regular Season Round 60: Toyotsu FE - Aomori Watts 91-81

Rather predictable result in Nagoya where first ranked Toyotsu FE (38-21) defeated 5th ranked Aomori Watts (18-41) 91-81 on Saturday. They outrebounded Aomori Watts 50-33 including 35 on the defensive glass. Toyotsu FE looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 25 rebounds and forward Shohei Kozu (191-87) who added 17 points during the contest. Four Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. Toyotsu FE's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. They have an impressive six-game winning streak. Toyotsu FE maintains first position with 38-21 record. Loser Aomori Watts keep the fifth place with 41 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
