Regular Season Round 60: Gunma - Hiroshima D. 92-84

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Dragonflies (32-27) were defeated on the road by third ranked Gunma (31-27) 92-84 on Saturday. Gunma made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who added 20 points during the contest. Five Gunma players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) with 9 points and 11 rebounds and the former international center Daiji Yamada (200-81) scored 16 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gunma maintains third position with 31-27 record having eight points less than leader Akita NH. Loser Dragonflies dropped to the fourth place with 27 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
