Very expected game when 6th ranked Tokyo Z (20-39) was crushed on the road by second ranked Kumamoto V. (40-19) 92-64 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. outrebounded Tokyo Z 43-29 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Ryota Nakanishi (199-88) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who added 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Latvian center Ricmonds Vilde (211-90, college: Houston Baptist) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Cinmeon Bowers (201-93, college: Auburn) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumamoto V. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 40-19 record having just two point less than leader Akita NH. Tokyo Z lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 39 games lost.
