Regular Season Round 60: Fukushima - Cyberdyne IR 82-98

There was a small surprise when second ranked Cyberdyne IR (37-21) beat on the road second-best Fukushima (36-21) 98-82 on Saturday. Cyberdyne IR made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Cyberdyne IR outrebounded Fukushima 37-22 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) who helped to win the game recording 28 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) with 26 points and 7 rebounds and guard Shota Kanno (187-92) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Fukushima's coach let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Cyberdyne IR have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 37-21 record behind leader Akita NH which they share with defeated Fukushima. Loser Fukushima keeps the second place with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
