Regular Season Round 60: Yamagata - Kagawa FA 75-66

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Kagawa FA (21-36) was defeated on the road by third ranked Yamagata (26-33) 75-66 on Saturday. Yamagata made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Kagawa FA outrebounded Yamagata 45-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Masanari Masanari (186-91) who added 13 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Yamagata players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Montay Brandon (203-93, college: Florida St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Yamagata maintains third position with 26-33 record having twelve points less than leader Akita NH. Loser Kagawa FA keeps the fifth place with 36 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
