Regular Season Round 60: Kanazawa Sam. - Fukuoka Rizing 80-74

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (46-14) in Ishikawa on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Kanazawa Sam. (27-32) 80-74. They made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Kanazawa Sam. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and guard Tsukino Tsukino (178-88) who added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international center Pape Faye (200-87) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Kanazawa Sam. maintains fourth position with 27-32 record. Fukuoka Rizing lost third consecutive game. Fukuoka Rizing at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
