Very important is a road loss of third ranked Macae (9-7) against fourth ranked Londrina (9-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Macae was defeated by Londrina in Londrina 86-73. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Macae. Londrina forced 21 Macae turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Londrina especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. Forward Ricardo de-Azevedo (201-83) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Wilmar Borges (200-93) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Londrina players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Nate Barnes (178-90, college: Alders.-Broad.) responded with 25 points and 5 assists and Rafa Oliveira (200-93) scored 6 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Londrina moved-up to third place. Loser Macae dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with UniFacisa. Londrina will meet at home league's leader Corinthians in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Macae will have a break next round.
