Third-ranked Osaka Evessa (24-36) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (28-32) in Tokyo. Hitachi Sunrockers managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68. However their fans expected easier game. Hitachi Sunrockers outrebounded Osaka Evessa 41-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Hiroyuki Kinoshita (178-80) answered with 14 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Osaka Evessa. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Hitachi Sunrockers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Niigata Albirex. Osaka Evessa at the other side keeps the third position with 36 games lost.
