Everything went according to plan when first ranked Almansa (24-5) outplayed at home 11th ranked Estudio (11-19) 102-77 on Saturday. Almansa dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Estudio's 40. Almansa forced 24 Estudio turnovers and outrebounded them 45-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for guard Carlos Cerdan (190-97) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American center Thomas Granado (208-88, college: Concordia Irvine, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Coach Ruben Perello's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Alvaro Nogueras (192-89) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Gabriel Rodriguez (198) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Estudio. Five Almansa and four Estudio players scored in double figures. Almansa have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. Newly promoted Almansa maintains first place in Group B with 24-5 record. Estudio at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost.
