Regular Season Round 32: Levallois - Chalon 83-72

Date: May 5, 2018
Rather expected game when 12th ranked Chalon/Saor (14-18) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Levallois (16-16) 83-72. The game was mostly controlled by Levallois. Chalon/Saor was better in third quarter 25-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Levallois players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American guard Travis Leslie (193-90, college: Georgia, agency: 3Eye) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. The other American import power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Nate Wolters (193-91, college: S.Dakota St., agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Moroccan-Belgian center Khalid Boukichou (208-92, agency: Two Points) added 15 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Chalon/Saor. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Levallois maintains tenth position with 16-16 record. Chalon/Saor lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the twelfth place with 18 games lost. Levallois' next round opponent will be higher ranked JSF Nanterre (#7) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Chalon/Saor will play against Le Portel (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
