Very important is a road loss of third ranked Contern (11-21) against fourth ranked Heffingen (8-24) on Saturday night. Visiting Contern was crushed by Heffingen in Heffingen 95-71. American forward Ryan Logan (201-94, college: Stonehill) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tim Schomer (186-93) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Heffingen's coach Alexandre Pires felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Charles Mann (198-94, college: Georgia, agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and German center Andy Eicke (208-92) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Heffingen maintains fourth position with 8-24 record. Contern lost fourth consecutive game.
