The game between Top Four teams took place in Matsuyama. Fourth ranked host Orange Vikings (33-27) defeated one of their biggest challengers Sendai 89ers (20-40) 94-89. Orange Vikings players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for guard Toshino Tatsuhiko (185-88) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Sendai 89ers. Four Orange Vikings and five Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. Orange Vikings moved-up to third place. Sendai 89ers lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 40 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
