Important game to mention about took place in Shiga. Fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (24-36) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Toyama Grouses (24-36) 78-76 in the fight for the third place. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Toyama Grouses were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Samba Faye (205-87) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Narito Namizato (172-89) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. At the losing side international forward Naoki Uto (188-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists and American forward Sam Willard (205-88, college: Pacific, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Toyama Grouses' coach Miodrag Rajkovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to third place, which they share with Osaka Evessa and Toyama Grouses.
