Regular Season Round 9: Keilor T. - Werribee D. 91-105

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Melbourne where tenth ranked Devils (3-6) won against 9th ranked Keilor T. (2-6) 105-91 on Sunday. Devils made 29-of-33 free shots (87.9 percent) during the game. Devils outrebounded Keilor T. 43-28 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Keilor T. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Konor Kulas (201-94, college: S.Dakota Mines) who had a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Deng Chan chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jordan Coleman (196-92, college: Valparaiso) who recorded 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Matt Spencer added 10 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Keilor T. players scored in double figures. Keilor T.'s coach let to play eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Devils moved-up to ninth place in League. Newly promoted Keilor T. dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Devils will face higher ranked Knox Raiders (#7) in Wantirna South in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Keilor T. will play on the road against the league's second-placed Waverley Falcons where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
