Second Stage Round 7: Mornar Bar - Ulcinj 96-62

Bottom-ranked Ulcinj is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to third ranked Mornar Bar (5-2) 96-62. Mornar Bar outrebounded Ulcinj 44-30 including 34 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Ulcinj was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for international center Vukota Pavic (203-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (191-87, college: S.Carolina) helped adding 14 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Mornar Bar players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian forward Aleksandar Ilic (197-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Dragan Bjeletic (204-92) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mornar Bar moved-up to second place, which they share with Sutjeska. Ulcinj lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Mornar Bar will play against league's leader Buducnost in Podgorica in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ulcinj will play at home against Teodo Tivat (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
