Eleventh-ranked Fiat TO (12-17) gave a tough game to third ranked Germani BR (20-9) in Brescia. Germani BR managed to secure only three-point victory 98-95. However their fans expected much easier game. Germani BR players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Fiat TO helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Bryce Cotton (185-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 7 assists. Austrian power forward Benjamin Ortner (206-83, college: Metro St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Germani BR's coach Andrea Diana allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international point guard Giuseppe Poeta (191-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 assists and American-Slovakian guard Andre Jones (195-90, college: Winthrop) added 24 points in the effort for Fiat TO. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Germani BR maintains third place with 20-9 record having just two points less than leader Umana VE. Fiat TO lost ninth consecutive game.
