The game in Tokyo was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Kagoshima (8-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-15). Kagoshima managed to secure a 4-point victory 87-83 on Monday. Kagoshima dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Cinq R.'s 44. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tokyo Cinq R.'s players. American forward Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Bahamas center Gjio Bain (211-85, college: S.Mississippi) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Drew Martin (203-94, college: Concordia, OR, agency: Court Side) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and Senegalese Bira Seck (204-90, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) added 22 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Kagoshima maintains fourth position with 8-8 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Kagoshima will face league's second-placed Tokyo Excel. on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tokyo Cinq R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo HT.
