Regular Season Round 31: Gravelines - Nanterre 80-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Nanterre's (18-12) road loss to fourth ranked Gravelines (19-10) 61-80 on Monday. Gravelines made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Gravelines outrebounded Nanterre 47-33 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Nanterre's players. It was a great evening for Matthias Flosse (209-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Louis Marnette (194-1) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. Gravelines' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Armand Mensah (182-99) responded with 16 points and Samuel Eyango scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Gravelines have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Loser Nanterre dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Gravelines will face Dijon (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nanterre will play against Levallois and hope to win that game.
