CIBACOPA top team - Rayos de Hermosillo (14-6) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (10-9) 98-91. Strangely Caballeros de Culiacan outrebounded Rayos de Hermosillo 60-45 including a 26-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Caballeros de Culiacan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Quinton Chievous (198-92, college: Hampton) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Bruce Massey (190-90, college: Middle Tenn.St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Iranian forward Mike Rostampour (203-91, college: Omaha) added 24 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Caballeros de Culiacan.
