Ninth-ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (5-15) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (12-8) on Wednesday. The visitors from Durango managed to secure only two-point victory 106-104. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-91, college: Jackson St.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 assists and the other American import Jevonlean Hedgeman (201, college: La-Lafayette) who added 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Nigerian-American guard George Williams (198-90, college: Wayland Baptist) responded with 28 points and Nigerian-American center Olaniyi Akingkube (208, college: N.Carolina A&T) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aguilas Doradas de Durango have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Tijuana. Pioneros Los Mochis lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost.
