Regular Season Round 30: Kastoria - Karditsas 53-69

We should mention about the upset which took place in Kastoria, where higher ranked Kastoria (16-15) lost at home to eleventh ranked Karditsas (14-16) 53-69. The game without a history. Karditsas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forward Serafeim Theos (204-84) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian center Stefan Djordjevic (206-89) supported him with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Even 13 points by guard Nikos Kaklamanos (189-81) did not help to save the game for Kastoria. Power forward Stamatis Benas (206-85) added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Karditsas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Psychiko. Kastoria lost fifth consecutive game. Kastoria at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with 15 games lost.
