Regular Season Round 10: Willetton T. - East Perth E. 89-71

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Tigers (7-3) won against 8th ranked Eagles (5-8) in Willetton 89-71 on Friday. Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles' 34. Tigers forced 19 Eagles turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Quite impressive performance for guard Damien Scott (192-92) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 7 assists and 9 steals. Senegalese power forward Badou Diagne (205-93, college: Co.Carolina) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. Swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: Metro St.) replied with 13 points and 4 assists and American power forward Jonathan Morse (203-91, college: Metro St.) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Eagles. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tigers maintains fourth position in League with 7-3 record. Loser Eagles dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Tigers will face Cougars (#10) in Hamilton Hill in the next round where they are favorite. Eagles will play at home against Cougars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
