Balkan coasted past Akademik PL to open 2-1 lead. The game without a history. Balkan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Academik Plovdiv was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Serbian center Igor Kesar (210-92, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Ventsislav Petkov (188-91, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Five Balkan players scored in double figures. Serbian center Nikola Maravic (212-89, agency: BeoBasket) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and Vasil Bachev (195-92, college: Cuesta JC) added 17 points in the effort for Academik Plovdiv. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
