Very important is a road loss of second ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (12-8) against fourth ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (12-8) on Friday night. Visiting Tijuana Zonkeys were defeated by Aguilas Doradas de Durango in Durango 93-82. Aguilas Doradas de Durango players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-91, college: Jackson St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) and the other American import Jevonlean Hedgeman (201, college: La-Lafayette) supported him with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Aguilas Doradas de Durango players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 4 assists by American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) did not help to save the game for Tijuana Zonkeys. Naturalized American swingman Karim Scott (196-88) added 16 points and 5 assists for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aguilas Doradas de Durango have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Tijuana.
