The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Lille Metropole's (22-11) home victory over 7th ranked Sluc Nancy (19-14) 72-65. The hosts were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-16 Sluc Nancy's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 72-65 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American forward Rakeem Buckles (203-90, college: FIU) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. Lille Metropole's coach Jean-Marc Dupraz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Mickael Var (205-90) answered with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Cameroonian forward Narace Williams (201-97) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sluc Nancy. Lille Metropole have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Lille Metropole's next round opponent will be Caen (#14) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Sluc Nancy will play against Aix-Maurienne (#11) in Aix-les-Bains and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
