Very expected game when 8th ranked Frankston Blues (1-8) lost to third ranked Chargers (5-2) in Hobart 90-102 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Chargers. Frankston Blues was better in third quarter 30-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Frankston Blues were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American guard Tre Nichols (180-89, college: Boise St., agency: SDJ Sports) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 4 assists. Forward Craig Moller (203-94, agency: MKP Management) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Chargers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Dan Trist (206-92, college: Lafayette) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Aaron Ross (203-92, college: Texas Tech) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Frankston Blues. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chargers maintains third position in League with 5-2 record having just four point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Frankston Blues keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Chargers will face league's second-placed Spectres in East Burwood in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Frankston Blues will play at home against Tigers (#5) and hope to win that game.
