Regular Season Round 10: Knox R. - Eltham W. 77-59

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Knox Raiders (8-1) defeated 9th ranked Wildcats (1-7) in Wantirna South 77-59 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for Emily Fisher who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Lucy Dawson (181-91) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. Knox Raiders' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international swingman Alice Kunek (187-91) replied with 29 points and 6 rebounds and forward Olivia Bontempelli (179-93) added 16 points in the effort for Wildcats. Despite that victory Knox Raiders went down to second position (League) due to points difference. Loser Wildcats keep the ninth place with seven games lost. Knox Raiders will face league's leader Falcons in Mount Waverley in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wildcats will play on the road against Thunder (#7) in Melbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
