No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Bearcats (5-3) crushed bottom-ranked Panthers (0-8) in Woodville 130-45 on Saturday. Bearcats dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Panthers' 26. Bearcats forced 30 Panthers turnovers and outrebounded them 46-23 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Panthers' players. Panthers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Tahlia Fejo (171-98) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 4 assists. Jasmin Fejo contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Bearcats players scored in double figures. Jadda Jefferies replied with 15 points and 4 steals and American power forward Charmaine Nelson (186-91, college: Bethesda) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Panthers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bearcats maintains fourth position in League with 5-3 record. Loser Panthers still closes the standings with eight games lost. Bearcats will face Tigers (#6) in Morphett Vale in the next round. Panthers will play at home against the league's second-placed Sabres (#2) and hope to get finally their first victory.
