The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Sydney City Comets' (6-3) home victory over 6th ranked Sutherland Sharks (4-5) in Alexandria 83-72 on Saturday. Sydney City Comets made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game, while Sutherland Sharks only scored eleven points from the stripe. American guard Jeff Van-Dyke (188-95, college: Cal-San Diego) replied with 19 points and 4 steals and Lochlan Hutchison added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sutherland Sharks. Sutherland Sharks' coach let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sydney City Comets maintains fifth position in League with 6-3 record. Loser Sutherland Sharks keep the sixth place with five games lost. Sydney City Comets will face league's leader Hills Hornets in Baulkham Hills in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
