The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Hume City Broncos' (4-6) home loss to eighth ranked Devils (4-7) in Tullamarine 90-103 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for American forward Konor Kulas (201-94, college: S.Dakota Mines) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. Deng Chan contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) replied with 28 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Trevon Clayton (198, college: Fresno Pacific) added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Hume City Broncos. Five Devils and four Hume City Broncos players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Devils went down to ninth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Hume City Broncos dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Devils will face league's leader Eltham Wildcats at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
