No shocking result in a game when third ranked Buccaneers (8-2) beat 10th ranked Cougars (4-7) in Wonthella 107-89 on Saturday. Buccaneers forced 21 Cougars turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a very good performance for Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri, agency: MKP Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. American guard Gokul Natesan (196-94, college: Colorado Mines, agency: Haylett Sports) contributed with 23 points and 6 steals for the winners. American-Ugandan center Brandon Sebirumbi (205-90, college: Furman) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Gavin Field (202-89, college: W.Georgia) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Cougars. Five Buccaneers and four Cougars players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Buccaneers maintains third position in League with 8-2 record having just ten point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Cougars keep the tenth place with seven games lost. Buccaneers will face Hawks (#7) in Floreat in the next round. Cougars will play at home against Tigers and hope to win that game.
