Regular Season Round 10: NGC Seahawks - Sunshine CP 86-105

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Sunshine CP (4-1) outplayed bottom-ranked NGC Seahawks (0-4) in Runaway Bay 105-86 on Saturday. Sunshine CP made 34-of-45 free shots (75.6 percent) during the game, while NGC Seahawks only scored fifteen points from the stripe. Sunshine CP forced 19 NGC Seahawks turnovers and outrebounded them 50-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. NGC Seahawks were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American Roy Booker (191-84, college: SE Missouri St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. Naturalized Sudanese center Paul Aleer (213-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Sunshine CP players scored in double figures. American swingman Jerron Jamerson (193, college: Goshen) replied with 43 points (!!!) and 6 steals and guard Remy Lawyer (191, college: Grossmont CC) added 13 points and 8 assists in the effort for NGC Seahawks. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sunshine CP maintains second position in League with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Mackay M. Newly promoted NGC Seahawks still closes the standings with four games lost. Sunshine CP will face Brisbane Capitals (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. NGC Seahawks will play against Cairns Marlins (#5) and hope to get finally their first victory.
