There was no surprise when 10th ranked Levallois (16-17) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked JSF Nanterre (19-14) 85-79 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 52-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: W.Virginia) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and international Lahaou Konate (196-91) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was international Boris Diaw (203-82) with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levallois' coach Frederic Fauthoux rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. JSF Nanterre have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Limoges and ASVEL. Loser Levallois keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. JSF Nanterre will meet Limoges CSP Elite (#5) on the road in the next round. Levallois will play against Olympique Antibes (#16) and hope to secure a win.
