Very important is a road loss of third ranked Strasbourg U21 (22-11) against fifteenth ranked Le Mans (9-24) on Saturday night. Visiting Strasbourg U21 was defeated by Le Mans in Le Mans 81-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Strasbourg U21. Matthieu Gauzin orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Cameroonian center Michel Doumbe (205-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five Le Mans players scored in double figures. Forward Quentin Goulmy (206-98) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Louis Rucklin (184-99) added 9 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Strasbourg U21. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Le Mans maintains fifteenth position with 9-24 record, which they share with Boulazac. Strasbourg U21 at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 11 games lost. Le Mans will play against league's leader Cholet on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
