Very predictable result when fourth ranked JDA Dijon (20-13) beat at home 13th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (14-19) 97-82 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when JDA Dijon's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-17 extending their advantage to 15 points. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Nigerian-American guard Rasheed Sulaimon (193-94, college: Maryland) stepped up and scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 21 points. The best for the losing side was American Chris Johnson (198-90, college: Dayton) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import power forward Taylor Smith (199-91, college: SF Austin) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. JDA Dijon have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 20-13 record. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Chalons-Reims. JDA Dijon will meet league's second-placed SIG Strasbourg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
