The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of UMU Ravens (0-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by JKL LD (1-0) 86-27. JKL LD held UMU Ravens to an opponent 24.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.7 percent accuracy of the winners. JKL LD forced 23 UMU Ravens turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by UMU Ravens' players. Nansikombi Jamila stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and international guard Ritah Imanishimwe (165-96) chipped in 24 points. At the losing side Vicky Akello responded with 8 points and 9 rebounds and Fauzia Namasamba scored 5 points and 6 rebounds. JKL LD will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UMU Ravens will play against A1 Challenge (#1) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
