Regular Season Round 32: Andorra - Gipuzkoa GBC 94-81

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Andorra (18-14) beat at home 13th ranked Gipuzkoa (12-20) 94-81 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Andorra. Gipuzkoa was better in fourth quarter 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Andorra forced 19 Gipuzkoa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Jaime Fernandez (186-93) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Slovenian Jaka Blazic (196-90) who added 19 points during the contest. Four Andorra players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and Nigerian-American forward Michael Fakuade (201-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Andorra moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Unicaja. Gipuzkoa lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Andorra will face Unicaja Malaga (#7) on the road in the next round. Gipuzkoa will play against Joventut (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
